Oviedo Florida is the cheapest and safest place to live in Central Florida. There are less expensive places to live but often there is a reason in Oviedo Florida there is a blend of safety and price that is better than most of Central Florida.
Normally these two places in Florida will never coincide with one another. Most Florida residents will flee high crime areas and so the prices plummet. Often an affordable city will either have no employment opportunities, very few residents because it is rural or for some reason a low quality of life. Even in the Sunshine State these places exist and often they are the cheapest places.
Clermont Florida is a city in Florida with little fan fair but an exceptional quality of life. It has seen price increases and the job market is also getting better. Usually it is a very safe community even within the city limits and, it has a lot of rolling hills with beautiful lakes. Soon roads will be connecting it to Walt Disney World via Western Way. This is one fine place to live in Florida.
Cocoa Beach is one of the more economical beaches to live at. The Crime rate for being a beach town is also fairly low. The crowds are also mostly made up of locals or people from Orlando. The cities in Florida on the beach to the south have far more tourists which typically goes hand in hand with crime and South Florida. If South Florida is your interest you will probably be able to afford more and live in more peace around North Palm Beach Florida or Stuart Florida in Martin County.
try to stay north of Interstate-4. Lakeland FL, Auburndale and Even Winter Haven have a little higher crime rates. You may have to live a little more rural to escape them and still stay in a lower cost area. If I were to move closer to Tampa Bay I would consider New Tampa or a town located near it like Wesley Chapel.
