What is the best month to visit Tampa Bay?

The best time to visit Tampa Bay- Tampa Florida is today. If you want cooler and drier temperatures then January and February are the ticket. If you want to lay in the hot sun on one of the Tampa Bay area beaches then anytime between June and the end of September are the best in my opinion.

Visit Tampa International Airport

The Tampa Airport is the best in the area. Clearwater FL also has an international airport but it is much smaller in size and flight volume. By that I mean it is harder to get flights there from most of the country. You can be in Downtown Tampa in about 15-20 minutes and the same amount of time will get you to the beaches in the fall and "winter" months when pleasant weather abounds.

Visiting Tampa Bay Area

When you visit Tampa Bay you should take time to see the following areas. St Pete Beach, the Florida Aquarium and maybe even Ybor City. The wettest month here is is July-August-September and those are likely the most humid month as well. The least humid month is probably December-January which is also the coldest month.

Tampa Bay is awesome year round. You will find high temperatures tolerable and we do have water parks and many tourist destinations just like other cities in Florida. We also have the Florida State Fair, more than one wine festival, and generally pleasant weather to enjoy them. Don't let hurricane season discourage you as most often we only have mild tropical storms which are similar to thunder storms found everywhere else. Whenever today is, that is the best time to visit Tampa Bay.
