The gulf coast has the most beautiful white sand beaches in Florida. From Gulf Islands National Seashore to Marco Island there are over 550 miles of coastline and the prettiest white sand beaches in the Continental United States.
From north to south there are seven specific destinations along Florida's Gulf Coast. The Emerald Coast, The Forgotten Coast, Nature Coast, Sun Coast, Cultural Coast, Lee Island Cast and the Paradise Coast. Of these named areas which sounds lie the best one to visit the beach in? That would be the Sun Coast for most of us. After all this is the Sunshine State and we are talking about beaches.
The heart of the Suncoast is Clearwater Beach which holds the record for continuous days of sunshine. What better way to make sure your vacation is safe than to go where the sunshine awaits you? A beautiful white sand beach await you and many other sandy beaches are within just a short walk or ride. The Florida Gulf Coast is designed for the perfect beach vacation. The glistening white sand will make you long for it again and again.
Most water activities and water sports can be done here or nearby. You will see just about every option imaginable and you can rent equipment if you did not bring your own. The soft sand is not all you will want to experience and I know you will find places and things of interest nearby. Clearwater Beach is the best beach in America and most of the runners up are along the Florida Gulf Coast. St Pete Beach is a prefect example and so is Honeymoon Island.
Yes from Panama City Beach to Gulf Islands National Seashore there are countless sugar sand beaches that beach lovers crave so much. Destin Beach which is part of Destin Florida is also known as the World's Luckiest Fishing Village. I would challenge that but it is the best the Florida Panhandle has to offer.
Santa Rosa Beach
Okaloosa Island
Scuba diving, jet skiing, palm trees, sand dunes and soft white sand are literally everywhere you look. Fort Walton Beach is often forgotten but one of the best and most affordable beach towns in the state. What is the problem, it is called winter. The water temp gets very cold and so does the beach.
Venice Beach has a darker color sand. It is a more greyish color in my opinion. Possibly because of fossil fragments mixed with the pure quartz sand. You can even notice the color change on Google Earth. This is a fairly unique area and many love it for building sand castles and searching the sand. Just don't plan on finding that hidden gem pure black sand beach some people believe that it is.
Beautiful beaches are everywhere in Florida. If you wish to use them year round then focus on Central Florida beaches. Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach are both Atlantic Coast beaches with turquoise waters. The sand is not as white as other beaches and some say it is orange sand. I believe it is not quite that color, more of a beautiful pink and white sand. White sands can be found in Tampa Bay and you can visit them year round. See you soon at St Pete Beach or Clearwater Beach FL.
