Clearwater Beach has the whitest sand in Florida. Most of the beaches on Florida's gulf coast have beautiful white sand beaches. The sand is a crystal powdery white sand from the Appalachian Mountains which reach as far south as Alabama.
Yes this is where they are located and ironically they are often overlooked. The east coast or Atlantic Coast beaches are more famous because they have bluer water against the shore. However the sand is nowhere near as white and the same Atlantic Ocean water continually flows from the east coast around to the west coast of Florida. The Gulf of Mexico is filled with and considered part of the Atlantic Ocean. That green tint you see close to shore on the gulf cost has some amazing effects often seen at night.
Clearwater Beach has basically the same white sand beach you will find from here southward. The primary difference will be the sunshine for whatever reason is more prevalent here. Clearwater Beach holds the record for continuous days of sunshine. The more sunshine, the brighter white those amazing white sand beaches will be. Not to mention Clearwater Beach will provide you the best overall beach vacation experience, year round.
With soft sand and miles of it St Pete Beach is just a few miles south of Clearwater Beach. A little more family friendly and with some amazing hotels right on the best white sand beach you can imagine. With Sunsets every night, pirate ship cruises, dolphin cruises and every beach amenity you will ever need. That is what you will find here. When you walk on the sand, it squeaks. Come live the dream, at least for a few days.
Panama City Beach, Destin Beach, Fort Walton Beach, Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach. All of these are fantastic locations on the northwest part of the Florida Panhandle. One perk, when the sun is out it tracks from east to west evenly on you and those white sand beaches all day long as the beaches mostly face south. Some believe these are the best beaches in the world and I walked all over them for 15 years. The only downside is called winter. It gets cold and so does the water.
From Anna Maria Island to Marco Island on the southwest coast of Florida are some of the least trafficked sugar white sand beaches on the planet. Stunning beaches are everywhere you look and there are some you will need to reach by boat. Imagine a crescent shaped beach, calm waters and remote privacy. A true beach lovers dream on Morgan Beach for example, just don't expect to take a car there like you would a public beach.
Marco Island also has one of the whitest beaches. This very family friendly destination has a semi crescent shaped beach that could be confused with seven mile beach as it extends for just over 6. Marine life is everywhere you look and beautiful sunsets are an everyday thing.
Well at least the softest sand and no doubt white sand is all over Siesta Key and Siesta Key Beach. An amazing 99% crystal this sand is such soft white sand that walkways had to be built so visitors could easily make it to the wetter more compacted sandy shores.
You would think this would be one of the more popular beaches in the world, and it is. At least for those who know about it. If Miami Vice would have ben filmed here this Barrier Island would be ruined. For not the shallow waters and white sands await so visit as soon as you can.
You guessed it, more amazing white beaches. A true tropical paradise and even a bay beach if that is what you prefer. People drive from all over South Florida to visit the beaches around Naples. Naples Florida will recover just fine from any hurricane because it is an amazing place all year round. Scuba diving, Jet skiing, off shore fishing in the turquoise blue waters and amazing natural beauty are all around. These are just a few of the reason there has been so much growth here.
