Clearwater Beach FL is where you will find the prettiest beach in the US. Some may mistakenly say South Beach or Miami Beach on the West Coast of Florida or even a beach on the Florida Panhandle but they are equal distances from the truth. The most pristine white sand beaches are in Clearwater Beach and just south of it.

The Most Stunning Beaches In The USA Are Atlantic Ocean White Sand Beaches

Where is the whitest sand? On Florida's Gulf Coast all of the way west through Alabama. The sand here is a quartz sand not a coral sand. They are whiter, cooler and softer. I spent almost two years living on Guam and Hawaii and love their beaches. But they fall short for many reasons to Florida's best beaches.

Clearwater Beach is not only #1 among the prettiest beaches in the U.S. but the surround area is the prettiest and most enjoyable. Forget all about San Diego and Sunset Beach you won't find anything better than right here.

Attractions at Clearwater Beach include the Clearwater Aquarium, boardwalks, pier, nightly entertainment and street entertainers galore. Restaurants around every corner, lifeguards and a safe swimming area. You can take a wide variety of cruises to see the sunset, marine wildlife or even on a pirate ship. Jet skiing, deep sea fishing and scuba diving are all just a short walk or ride away from the beautiful white sand beaches.

The Stunning Beaches of The Florida Panhandle

To enjoy your summer months if they are closer to you you may want to visit Orange Beach or Gulf Shores Public Beach in Alabama or Pensacola Beach. Both are excellent for beach volleyball and both are a sand beach with brilliant white sand. Of the two I would probably choose Pensacola Beach for the overall area.

More beautiful beaches are just to the east and they include Navarre Beach and Fort Walton Beach aka Okaloosa Island. Both of these locations are large enough that you can find your own personnel space. The natural beauty and of the sand dunes and turquoise water is a sight to see. At night you may even see some stunning beach scenes like the one I will show below.

Even More White Sand Beaches from Destin to Panama City Beach

Destin Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, Henderson Beach State Park and Grayton Beach State Park are all amazing white sand beaches. I left off Seaside City one of the more romantic beaches in the USA. If you are looking for a white sand beach for a beach trip in north Florida look no further.

Destin has water sports equipment rentals, deep see fishing and scuba diving. Just don't expect gentle waves in the late afternoons. You will see what I mean, I lived here for 15 years.

Barrier Islands Around Clearwater Beach

To the north are Caladesi Island State Park and Honeymoon Island State Park both with a gorgeous beach, soft sand and nature trails. You will have plenty of personnel space to explore the local marine life and the peaceful serene areas. There are few places on the Pacific Ocean which this peace and quiet. Think barrier island getaway for the day and check them out. On a side note, this is the Atlantic Ocean but here it is called the Gulf.

Siesta Key and Siesta Key Beach The Softest Whitest Sand Beach In the USA

Yes, as far as just the beaches in the USA there is no finer available. Water sports, picnic tables, sand dunes and sandy shores are what I think of when I envision this beach. On the north beach of Siesta Key is Sand Dollar Island a hidden gem is you can access it. The only reason I do not feature this area is it is south of Tampa Bay. The barrier Island has all you need but the nearby cities are, meh.

The Florida Keys & Key West?

Smathers Beach and more than one beach park are available. Finding the best beach in the Keys will take a lot of exploring as you cannot see most of them from the highway. Let's be honest for a moment. Key West and the Florida Keys are not advertised for white sand beaches.

Can you find a sandy beach? Yes you can but the Keys are primarily for fishing, diving and partying probably in that order. Basically you have one small sea island after the other linked together by bridges with the occasional pristine beaches hidden away. Enjoy the keys for what they are. A natural habitat for sea turtles, fishermen and bohemians.

Not The Best Beaches In Florida But To Many The Best Beach For their Lifestyle

Miami Beach, South Beach and Fort Lauderdale Beach are all popular beaches in the USA. Primarily living on marketing and the beautiful Caribbean blue waters many prefer them. Will you find Florida's best white sand beaches? No you won't. Still many prefer the lifestyle here which includes the local nightclubs, cruise ships and warm humid weather year round. Plan your trip, understand the parking and know what you are getting into.

Honorable Mention But It gets To Cold For Most In The Winter

Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach, North Carolina's Outer Banks, Ocean City Beach, Cape Cod, Jekyll Island and Surfside Beach north along the Atlantic Coast. All fine places but all way to cold to use year round. On the Atlantic Coast Daytona Beach is about as far north and I would plan a trip in the winter months. Maybe Venice Beach, Half Moon Bay or Laguna Beach in California would be ok. Honorable Mention To

Waikiki Beach, Lanakai Beach & Waimea Bay Beach Park are of course beautiful beaches but believe it or not they too get cold. I have ben there when you did not want to put your foot in the water. people actually snow ski in Hawaii. Beautiful beaches are everywhere but just remember the latitude here is a little more north than some suspect. Stick with Florida.
