What Month Is The Hottest In Central Florida

What Month Is The Hottest In Central Florida?

July and August virtually tie for the hottest month of the year in Central Florida. You can expect high and low temperatures to be about 20 degrees apart with mid nineties during the day and nigh time lows in the mid seventies. Some places online will say different but I have lived here for decades and mid nineties are the norm unless it is raining all day.

Central Florida

Orlando's Theme Parks & The Theme Park Capital Are In Central Florida For A Reason

The average temperature is why so many people wait till September or October to visit Orlando. I personally really like the summer months with high humidity and a high temperature because my favorite theme parks are water parks. I even like the one in Daytona Beach. If visiting Walt Disney World is you pleasure then the low temperature you will feel in the evening hours of July and August will be prefect. Or simply arrive early for the main parks and visit the water parks in the afternoon.

Jan Feb Mar Apr are all great months for the theme parks. Especially for those from the northern hemisphere as the average low here is average high for them. You will soon realize that many locals also wait till this timeframe to visit the local theme parks. If you get to where you need to be inside more there are plenty of indoor attractions on International Drive or Universal Studios. During the wet season the same applies and trust me, Orlando's theme parks are wide and varied for tourists of every type.

As The Average High Temperatures Rise In March

The Summer Months still have sunny skies just like the winter ones do. Our hot season begins in earnest by the end of March and early June. Those hot days also are when we get the most rain in the Central Florida and Orlando area. Believe it or not just west of Orlando's theme parks is what is referred to as Lightning alley. Hurricanes and hurricane season are not the only concerns in Central Florida. The hotter it gets it seems lie the more rainfall and stormy weather we have beginning in the spring.

November December January February Temperature Drop

If you want to see the best of Central Florida and walk around during the day with temperatures in the seventies this is your time. On any given day of the week you can typically still visit the beach and there still be enough heat to lay in the sun or take a quick dip. There will be very few wet days in the Sunshine State during this period.
