Ben T Davis Beach or Courtney Campbell Beach are the best parking areas for the Courtney Campbell Trail. They are at opposite ends of the Courtney Campbell Causeway and both places are paid parking via the Park Mobil App or your cell phone. Following are several parking areas to choose from.
Along the Courtney Campbell Causeway there are access roads where you can park for free during the hours they are open. Some will park at the base of the actual Courtney Campbell Causeway bridge as this makes the distance you have to walk back to your car more manageable. Normally fishermen will park here on the service road just mind the corners as they get narrow.
Yes most of the area is paved. However the parking some will use is not. The Courtney Campbell Beach on the eastern end or in Pinellas County is not paved parking. In Hillsborough County to the west some of the access roads have parking on the sand or grass as well. Be mind full of road crossings and avoid the temptation of parking in Rocky Point because it is just to far from the glorious bridge over Old Tampa Bay.
