If you are looking for some where to move to in the sunshine state the safest cities are found in the areas furthest from the Atlantic Ocean (Florida's Atlantic Coast) and the Gulf of Mexico. By the time weaker hurricanes com onshore and make it to the Ocala national forest for example, they present only a tropical storm risk and certainly no storm surges will ever reach you there.
