No, St Pete is not colder than Tampa. In the summer months it may feel cooler and at times it may feel cooler even in December because of the sea breeze on the gulf coast. However to say that it ever feels colder there may be misleading. The water has what is called a heat capacity. It's temperature usually gets no colder than the 60 degree level and the breeze off of it feels amazing.
If you average the temperature adding the high temp and low temp together and dividing by two there is very little difference between Tampa Bay area cities. There is a lot of water here and this is the best part of South Florida and the west coast of it. I would say Hillsborough County is the place to live in this entire state if you are looking for consistent beautiful weather and a beautiful area.
Yes both areas have many attractions. Just some of the places most visit are the Tampa International Airport (best in the area), downtown Tampa (best in area) and of course any beach in the Tampa Bay area is of great quality. Outdoor activities here never stop and we have many consecutive days of incredible weather. Visit or move to the Tampa Bay area as soon as you can.
