Yes Tampa has clear beach water. Water in Florida along Florida's Gulf Coast is very clear and gorgeous. It may seem to have a very slight emerald green tint to it but visibility is typically around 50 feet. A swimming pool is clearer, but then you will not have those beautiful white sand beaches under your feet.
The Gulf of Mexico has St Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, Honeymoon Island State Park, Indian Rocks Beach and all have crystal clear water that Emerald Coast beach lovers declare are the best beaches in Florida again and again. Don't get caught up in the Miami Beach or Florida Keys hype. The best beaches are Tampa beaches and they are in Hillsborough County and Pinellas County FL.
Other Pristine Beaches in Tampa Bay Caladesi Island State Park, Madeira Beach Davis Beach sand is white but the water color is brownish Hillsborough Bay water. Typically the barrier islands in the Tampa Bay area have amazing water clarity.
All of the water on the Gulf Coast is replenished from the Atlantic Ocean and really the Gulf of Mexico is technically the Atlantic Ocean. We do not have the larger ocean waves found in some locations but we do have a gorgeous South Florida sandy beach waiting on you. Have you ever though of a secluded beach to visit? They are tough to find. However, you can find less frequented ones with more personnel space in this area. Come visit the Florida beaches right here in Tampa Bay.
