The rainy season in Tampa Florida is between the 25th of May and the 10th of October. If you are wondering the Atlantic Hurricane Season is thru the middle of August until mid October. Much of the rainy season is the intense rain we occasionally have in the afternoons.
To be quite honest it is often very hot and humid here. Tampa weather conditions can be quite brutal with the average temperatures being in the mid 90's and the humidity comfort levels beyond what I can stand. The month I am writing this the average temperature has been 92 degrees with the lows at night being 75'ish. Sunny skies have been the norm and we are actually below the average rainfall we typically have in this tropical climate.
Thankfully Tampa Bay has some beautiful beaches, rivers, the bay and water parks. When you visit Tampa during the hottest month which is August you will likely be at one of those locations during the day or indoors.
In the evening the temp drop is around 20 degrees and the world is your oyster. The afternoon breezes here are also a great reprieve. One ore perk of the wet season is of course the clouds do give you a break from the hot sun. It has been a long time since anyone here has frozen to death in their car. Thank you for asking, what is the rainy season in Tampa Florida.
