Is Tampa A White City?

Tampa is Definitely not a white city. The portion of the total population that is classified as just white and not mixed is just over 44%. Actually that percentage is also on the decline at least for now. The city is a mixture of White, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latina and Asian which many other races making up the remainder along with those who claim to be two or more races.

The Tampa Bay Area

I tried to find demographics on tourist but could not find a credible enough source. The greater Tampa Bay area sees an incredible amount of tourist from all over the world and from every race conceivable. There is a cruise port, two international airports and two intersecting Interstate Highways here to transport them into Hillsborough County.

Record Setting Population Growth

Well not really. I would not use the term record setting population growth at least historically speaking. However, the greater Tampa Bay area has grown over 1% each of the last few years and now has an estimated population of nearly 3,000,000. It is one of the largest cities in the state but not yet ready to be the largest city which is Jacksonville FL.
