There are 189 official beaches in Florida. There are 825 miles of beaches in Florida and that is not including beaches on the barrier islands you will find. Believe it or not it is very easy in the summer months to get to one of the beaches in Florida that are not crowded.
Florida beaches are incredible. One of those reasons is the Gulf Stream and the other is the Atlantic Ocean From Miami Beach to the few Florida Keys beaches all of the way to Panama City Beach waters from the Atlantic Ocean are dispersed via the Gulf Stream. Yes the waters in on the Gulf Coast are actually from the Atlantic Ocean.
The whitest sand beaches you will ever see are from Panama City Beach westward to Pensacola Beach. That includes Grayton Beach, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Navarre Beach, Santa Rosa Beach and Pensacola Beach. At night when you walk them you will see the other reason this is called the Emerald Coast. All it takes is a sweep of your foot in the still damp sand and it magically becomes glittering white sand .
Clearwater Beach and St Pete Beach in Tampa Bay FL. Hands down all things considered you just can't beat these two beautiful beaches. The soft white sand, quaint beach towns, lifestyle and attractions are unparalleled. Other beaches like Fort Lauderdale Beach, Daytona Beach, South Beach and certainly Key West are living on reputation alone.
If you are looking to get away and visit a beach that maybe is not as crowded here is a short list. You may well visit one and list it among your best beaches and ahead of mine. Rest assured clear water, white sandy beaches and lots of sunshine await you.
