Does Tampa Have Pretty Beaches?

Does Tampa Have Pretty Beaches?

Yes Tampa has pretty beaches. Tampa Bay is a huge area and has many world famous beaches. Even within the city of Tampa which sets on Tampa Bay and Hillsborough Bay there are some white sand beaches. Many never notice them, but you can bet that they are there.

Tampa FL

Davis Beach & Cypress Point Park

Davis Island Beach is located on the southeast side of Davis Islands. This is a small beach and has two distinct portions. The northern portion is Davis Islands Dog Beach. Just to the south after passing the boat launches you will come to the Davis Island Beach which overlooks the Seaplane Basin and the yachts.

Cypress Point Park is hidden away to the west of Westshore Plaza. I'm always surprised to see how few people come here. Beautiful sunsets, white sand and plenty of parking. There is a playground, restroom facilities and nearby restaurants.

The Best Beaches Near Tampa But Inside The Tampa Bay Area

Clearwater Beach and St Pete Beach are shown in the photos at the top of this page. Clearwater Beach is only 20 to 30 minutes from Tampa International Airport and very easy to navigate to. Clearwater Beach is a white sand beach and is listed among the most beautiful beaches in America. It is number one among the best beaches in Tampa Bay and only St Pete Beach rivals it's popularity.

Clearwater Beach is known for its beach bars and the powdery white sand of it's pristine beaches. Florida's Gulf Coast has plenty of palm trees, sandy beaches and popular beaches. Another great thing to mention is this is the Gulf of Mexico where you can very often even swim in December and January. You wont see many locals doing it but it can be done in the Gulf of Mexico.

St Pete Beach In Southwest Tampa Bay

St Pete Beach is another white sandy beach perfect for beach volleyball, occasional dolphin watching, your next beach vacation and it is a very family friendly beach. Beach lovers will normally find calm waters at the best Tampa beaches and most of them will have an accompanying charming beach town atmosphere. Just be mindful that items are typically slightly more expensive here. You can stock up nearer downtown Tampa to save some cash.
