Yes you can drink alcohol on Tampa beaches but not every beach and often just at specific times. I will elaborate below but things could change so confirm with a local law enforcement officer after arrival. As a general rule glass containers & glass bottles are forbidden for obvious reasons.
Drinking is allowed on most of this beach. There is a portion of the beach located between 99th Avenue and 85th Avenue where alcoholic beverages are not always allowed on the beach. Much of Treasure Island Beach is known as alcohol consumption being ok. However, no kegs or glass containers.
Belleair Beach-No Alcohol
Caladesi Island-No Alcohol
Honeymoon Island-No Alcohol
Indian Rocks-No Alcohol
Madeira Beach is a little complex when it comes to consumption of alcoholic beverages. Avoid drinking at beach access locations, Kitty Stuart Park also in and around the picnic shelter at Archibald Park.
No glass containers anywhere, to the best of my knowledge no kegs which always draw attention anyways. Drinking is generally allowed on Redington Beach but not at North Redington Beach or Redington Shores. This may have seasonal changes but not that I am aware of. When in doubt, consult with a local law enforcement officer about ordinances.
At beachfront hotels in St Pete Beach there are some alcoholic beverages allowed on the beach in specific areas around the hotels but only for hotel guests. This does not apply at Clearwater Beach as no drinking is allowed on Clearwater Beach. If you are at a restaurant or bar that serves ask about the radius around it that drinking is acceptable.
All The Beaches In Florida & on the gulf coast are covered by Florida State Laws. In some cases you can legally drink alcohol in the Florida sun till your heart is content. You will pay for it later with the sunburn. Spring break law applies, which is the natural of of don't draw attention to yourself even if alcohol is allowed on the beach.
