Bel Mar Shores in South Tampa FL is a large community. There are actually two sections. One is named Bel Mar Shores and the other is simply named Bel Mar. The first one I mentioned is actually the smallest and it consists of the homes which are west of South West Shore Boulevard.

The first homes were built here in the 1920's or so say the public records. Normally a home over 50 years old is referred to as a "historic home". There are some lovely older homes in this neighborhood and some are surprisingly nice.
